Construction includes: Building A, a two-story, 27,091-SF administration building that will house office space as well as a library and two specialty classrooms; Building B, a multi-story building to house 55 classrooms and support spaces (B-1 wing is two stories, 54,267-SF; B-2 is three stories, 40,305-SF); Building C, is a one-story, 15,555-SF building that will house student dining, staff dining, cafeteria staff and custodial areas, restrooms, as well as a raised stage and dressing rooms; and Building D, is a single-story, 10,091-SF covered play court.

As the current Mokapu Elementary facilities will continue to operate during construction, work will be conducted in two phases.  Phase 1 work involves demolition and removal work, temporary classrooms, site preparation, drainage system, chain link fencing and gates, concrete sidewalk and curbs, asphaltic concrete paving, pavement markings, underground sprinkler system, lawns and grasses, water and sewer systems, masonry, structural steel work, carpentry, roofing, plumbing and electrical work, fire alarm system, elevator installation, air conditioning and ventilation, painting, disturbance of hazardous materials and other related work to construct the new Administration and Classroom buildings. After the Phase 1 buildings are completed and occupied, Phase 2 involves the demolition and removal of the existing classroom buildings will commence to clear the way for the Covered Playcourt and Cafeteria building. However, the existing cafeteria building will remain operational until the new cafeteria building is up and running.
