Nan, Inc. has been awarded a $37.95 million contract from the State of Hawaii Department of Transportation to perform resurfacing and rehabilitation work on Interstate Route H-1 from the Miller Pedestrian Overpass to the Kapiolani Interchange.

According to an announcement from Nan, Inc., the project includes roadway resurfacing, pavement repairs, sidewalk, curb and gutter, pavement markings and striping, and other roadway improvements necessary to enhance safety and extend the service life of the highway.

Work scope also includes adjustment and protection of existing utilities, removal and replacement of roadway elements as required, and compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and quality control requirements.

The full award amount totals $37.95 million. Bids were procured through a competitive sealed bidding process

Work is expected to begin in June 2026 and be finished by December 2027.
