Kamehameha Highway Stations Group

  • Client: Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation
  • Contract Amount: $ 115,805,845

On December 22nd, 2015 the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) awarded Nan, Inc. the contract to build the three stations along Kamehameha Highway.  They are Pearl Highlands, Pearlridge and Aloha Stadium.  Located in a dense urban core, these stations are engineered around natural land features, and key landmarks alike.
The Pearl Highlands station will be an elevated structure located across Kamehameha Highway from the Century Park high-rise condominium and the Pearl Highlands Center. The station will feature and open air design and will serve as a major hub for other transit options. It will also feature a park and ride with 1600 stalls and a pedestrian bridge to the shopping center.
Located at Kamehameha Highway near Kaonohi Street, the Pearlridge station will feature fare gates on both sides of the highway. This dual fare gate system will provide riders with ease of access to the numerous businesses on both sides of the highway. Once inside the station, riders will access the trains through an elevated concourse that runs above the highway.
The Aloha Stadium station will be a great option for commuters and sports enthusiasts as well. The station will be located next to a ground level park and ride with 600 parking stalls. It will be just a few hundred yards away from the Aloha Stadium entrance. A ride to Ala Moana Center or the East Kapolei station will take just 21 minutes.
