Industrial Facilities -
Repair Concrete Floor, Service Galleries, and Pre-Determined Concrete Areas (75CF), Remove Pre-Determined Spall (5000CF), and Replace Floor Drains, Drydock No. 1, Naval Shipyard, Pearl Harbor, Oahu, Hawaii

The work under this high visibility project consisted of (6) phases, which included demolition, repair, and replacement work at Drydock 1. Phase I–III involved the demolition of the drainage rails from Dock Mark 53 to Dock Mark 500, concrete removal for the new drainage trenches, and spall repair. Phase IV involved work to construct the main drainage trenches on the port and starboard side, which included placement of form work; performing grading checks; placement of epoxy coated reinforcing steel bars; placement of monel grating frames; application of epoxy bonding agents; pumpwell and drain inlet connections; and concrete placement with accelerated curing agents. Phase V-VI involved concrete repair of the spalled areas on the walls and service galleries, and finished work including the installation of concrete embedded brass survey pins.

The success of this project resulted in a letter of appreciation from the Drydock Engineering Office for outstanding performance.
