Location: Anderson Air Force Base, Guam
Contract Value: $6.5 Million
Client: Department of the Navy

This design-build project included the repair and structural upgrades of three hangars. Hangars on the island of Guam experience severe damage due to typhoons. The first phase of the construction involved the partial demolition of the hangars and the design of the renovated hangars. The design parameters were to enclose the hangars with insulated metal siding, repair the roof, and improve the structural, electrical, and mechanical systems of the hangars. The second phase of the project involved the repair and upgrade of the hangar structures.

The scope of work included the installation of insulated metal siding, reinforcing the existing structure, repair of the metal roofing, construction of interior office spaces, construction of bathroom facilities, installation of new electrical service, installation of new air conditioning and exhaust systems, installation of partitions, ceiling systems, flooring, and painting.

The success of this project resulted in a certificate of superior achievement and a letter from the commanding officer recognizing Nan, Inc.’s professionalism and top-notch construction.
