Design Build, Whole Barracks Renewal, Quad E, Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii

This 2-phase project involves the renovation of the historic buildings at Quad E to include battalion headquarters, company operation facilities, and unaccompanied enlisted personnel housing. Supporting facilities include gear wash facilities, arms rooms, classrooms, conference rooms, a multi-play court, a gymnasium, and a secure network (SIPRNET) system.




The project scope includes all design and construction (renovation) of the four (4) 3-story concrete buildings, including site preparation, increased foundations, seismic upgrades, waterlines, sanitary-sewer systems, storm-drainage systems, pavement, concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, establishment of turf, mechanical work, and electrical work. As work will involve the demolition of all interior building components, replacement of these components are to follow all current building and military standards, which include current AT/FP requirements. Additionally, all buildings within Quad E are historic; therefore, all renovation must comply with the Section 106 Historic Preservation regulations.
