Job Order Contract (JOC) for Navy Public Works Center, Pearl
Harbor at Various Locations, Oahu, Hawaii
Location: Various locations in all Navy and Marine
installations in Hawaii
Contract Value: $21 Million
Client: Department of the Navy
This contract was awarded through the 8(a) Small Business
Administration (SBA), of which the Means Facilities Construction
Cost Data was utilized as the instrument for estimating and
negotiating construction costs. Numerous projects with varying
scopes of work were awarded under this contract. These included
the following:
• High Visibility Projects (i.e. admiral/officer
quarters renovation/construction)
• Architectural (interior and exterior renovation
of offices, houses, barracks, buildings)
• Mechanical (air conditioning, plumbing, ventilation,
water distribution)
• Electrical (interior and exterior electrical distribution,
including low and high voltage)
• Civil (paving, grading, drainage, landscaping)
• Structural (foundation, termite damage repair, concrete,
roofing, framing)
• Historical Preservation
• Demolition and Hazardous Material Abatement
Emergency and urgent projects were also executed and completed
through this Job Order Contract (JOC). These types of projects
required air freighting material, overtime work, multiple
shifts for crews, and working during other than normal working
hours to meet the required completion date. Services for this
contract were performed at all Navy installations on the island
of Oahu (i.e. Pearl Harbor, Lualualei, Camp Smith, Kaneohe
Marine Corps Base Headquarters, Barbers Point).
Through the success of all delivery orders accompanied with
individual appreciation awards for several projects, the Navy
issued a commendation recognizing Nan, Inc.’s outstanding
performance that exceeded customer expectations.
